You know sometimes scriptures just jump out at you and you see an order, lol. I got that this morning so here is what hit me.
Philippians 4:13 – 13 I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who [a]infuses inner strength into me; I am [b]self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency]. (AMP) Sometimes we feel as though we can’t go on, as though we are fighting a battle that we just can’t seem to win. We’ve all been there before, I know I certainly have. But this verse tells us that we can do ALL things IN CHRIST, not in us. Proverbs 3:5 – 5 Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. Focus on him….not on you…you will see that if you focus on him that you are guided through the mess that it seems you can’t get through; that the battle isn’t a weight on your shoulders. Philippians 4:6 – 6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition ([a]definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. We are not to worry or be anxious, but to pray and cry out to our God. To be thankful for the things he HAS done for us. To focus on him and his blessings and let him take care of things that seem to be falling short. Pray and give it to him and then let him take over whatever it is from there. Jeremiah 7:23 – 23 But this thing I did command them: Listen to and obey My voice, and I will be your God and you will be My people; and walk in the whole way that I command you, that it may be well with you. We are to obey his voice and walk in the WHOLE WAY so that it may be well with us. No half measures and partial effort. Our God knows what we can do, he knows our hearts, he sees what we are holding back. He wants it be well with us, his people, his children. Jeremiah 33:3 – 3 Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand). He wants us to call to him. He has things to show his children and knowledge to give us. Exodus 14:14 – 14 The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest. the battle your fighting? The God of Israel, OUR GOD, he wants to fight that battle for you while you hold your peace. But he can’t fight for you if you don’t let him. 1 Peter 5:7 – 7 Casting the [a]whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, [b]once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you [c]watchfully. Cast your cares upon the Lord, let him take care of you, his people. He has so much to give and yet there are so many who do not receive as he would have them to. Open up today and receive as God would have us to. Let him give to you knowledge and peace. Let the God of Israel, Isaac, and Jacob be your God.
Heavenly Father, I come before you today to receive all that you have for me. Mold me and shape me until I am in the right place to receive what you have in store for me. I want to walk in your ways more, and not lean on my own understanding. You are a loving and merciful God. I thank you for holding me in the palm of your hand so many times. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
