No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. – Joshua 1:5 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Joshua1:5&version=NIV
But He said to me, My grace (My favor and loving-kindness and mercy) is enough for you [sufficient against any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully]; for My strength and power are made perfect (fulfilled and completed) and show themselves most effective in [your] weakness. Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ (the Messiah) may rest (yes, may pitch a tent over and dwell) upon me! – 2 Corinthians 12:9 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2Corinthians12:9&version=AMP
Sometimes in times where we feel bombarded by so many things and it feels as though we are sinking it helps to remember that He is there for you.
Strip yourselves of your former nature [put off and discard your old unrenewed self] which characterized your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lusts and desires that spring from delusion; And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude], And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness. – Ephesians 4:22-24
For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons. For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds, [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One), – 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You. – Isaiah 26:3
Father, the mind is strong yet weak. It can easily be bombarded with ungodly things and lead astray. I pray for the minds of your children today, Abba. May our thoughts be renewed in you. In Jesus Holy name I pray, Amen
Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. – 1 Peter 5:7
Heavenly Father, I am guilty of worry, like so many others. I pray and pray, only to have my mind pulled to and fro with thoughts that are scary and negative, feeding that worry people do so well over things they can’t change. I pray today that we find relief and freedom from these thoughts that feed the worry; release from the seemingly ever present worry itself. Today I pray your peace upon the worriers, Abba. Let them feel it pour over them like a cool drink of water to the thirsty. I thank you, Father, for the multitude of blessings and mercies you have shown me and my family. In Jesus Holy name I humbly pray, Amen.
I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. – John 15:5 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John15:5&version=AMP
Heavenly Father, as so many are in the midst of what feels like tornadoes of things to get done/be done/have done, I pray that they take the time to pray before they start. I know you know how hectic it is for some people, but I pray that they come to you first in prayer and thanksgivings. Thank you Abba for being all that you are, thank you for finding me worthy. In Jesus Holy name I pray, Amen.
Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. – Romans 12:2 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Romans12:2&version=AMP
Father, in an age such as this I am certain that a lot of us struggle with this. To be not conformed. I am praying and pulling myself closer to you Abba and I must admit that it’s the people who are close to me, family members even, that find so much negativity to heap onto my and my household. They don’t seem to see how very worldly they are being and how their opinion is just that. It’s a negative blanket of their thoughts that they are throwing over my house. This person is someone that is close enough to be a constant in our lives and this person is loved by us. This isn’t the first time but Abba I can’t look over this anymore. And rather than be even more negative and hurtful than them, I give her to you. I pray Father for the families out there that are being weighed down by negative influences of people they love. People who may not even realize the pain and hate that they are spreading with their mouths. Reach out to both sides, be a comfort to those suffering and set straight those who feel their opinions just have to be heard by people no matter what.
There is a time and a place to be blunt.
Why are you cast down, O my inner self? And why should you moan over me and be disquieted within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall yet praise Him, Who is the help of my [sad] countenance, and my God. – Psalm 43:5 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm43:5&version=AMP
Father, I hope and wait in you, I praise your Holy name. I thank you for the strength and peace that you have poured out to me and my loved ones in this time. You see and know the need. We need you Abba, you are my God and I will call your name in times of need and in times of thanks. May all that I do be for your glory. In Jesus name I humbly pray, Amen.
