Struggling?

Father, we face struggles each day. Some of our struggles are great and some are small. I come to You now on behalf of all who are struggling right now. I pray Your peace be within them, Your mercy upon them, and Your favor over them. In Jesus name I pray, Amen

Special Needs Parent Prayer

Father, it’s hard being a special needs parent. It is so stressful to Fight the system tooth and nail for just a little help for the children we stand for. There are many nights that I have cried myself to sleep with worry and pain for my son. I know that I am not alone in this. I pray You reach out and touch the parents and care givers that are fighting this fight. Let them know that they are not alone. Give them strength to go on even when they feel like they cannot. Give them Your peace. Let Your love and presence pour over them and soothe them. Bless them. In Jesus name I pray, Amen

Armor of God, The Belt

Ephesians 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Be still , listen:

I am going to study the belt.

Stand (strongs g2476 – to make firm, to cause a person or a thing to keep his or its place, to uphold or sustain the authority or force of anything)

Having, having on (strongs g1746 – to sink into (clothing), put on, clothe one’s self)

Girt (strongs g4024 – to equip one’s self with knowledge of the truth) (Vine’s Expository Dictionary – figuratively, of the condition for service on the part of the followers of Christ)

Truth (Nave’s Topical Bible –  Is Part of the Christian Armor)

Uphold, keep your place; sink into a condition for service as a follower of Christ with Christian Armor!

The Old Rugged Cross

The lyrics to this have been on my mind all afternoon.
On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,  The emblem of suff’ring and shame,

And I love that old cross where the Dearest and Best

  For a world of lost sinners was slain.

  So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,

Till my trophies at last I lay down;

I will cling to the old rugged cross,

  And exchange it some day for a crown.

2

Oh, that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,

  Has a wondrous attraction for me;

For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above,

  To bear it to dark Calvary.

3

In the old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,

  A wondrous beauty I see;

For ’twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,

  To pardon and sanctify me.

There is a 4th verse to that song.

4. To the old rugged cross, I will ever be true.

It’s shame and reproach gladly bear.

Then He’ll call me someday to my home far away;

Where His Glory forever I’ll share.
